Bodywork Preparation And Accessories

Bodywork preparation is essential for quality paint finishes.

Being ‘it’s the finish that counts’ the ideal is to begin correctly. Eliminate paint defects, dents, and stone-chips at each stage of bodywork repair with our primer fillers, and surface sanding abrasives.

Preparations will include sanding, and then every surface needs to be clean, dry, and free of grease. ProXL Panelwipe aerosol is ideal for degreasing prior to spray painting.

It is also important to make sure that the surrounding areas not being refinished or painted are protected.  Masking tape and paper sheeting will help keep things clean.

We recommend that you ensure you not only have the necessary equipment to complete the bodywork repair, but also ensure that you are prepared with items such as disposable paint coveralls and the relevant spray gun accessories. 

Finally, after all your prep work, remember to keep your paint free from contamination by using clean mixing cups and paint strainers.
